There is nothing wrong with making money. Loving money is what God's talking about. When money becomes more important than God to someone, it means they love money more than they love God. If they will hurt other people to get money, this too, means they love money more than they love God. We know making money is not a sin, because even the proverbs woman made money in order to buy a field. She made money making fabric and other things she made. She also was able to give to the poor and give gifts to her household. It does not mean she loved money but rather was able to show the love of God by what she was able to give and wanted to give.
