John 15:12-19

John 15: 1-27

I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. These things I command you, that ye love one another. If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep your's also. But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me. If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin. He that hateth me hateth my Father also. If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father. But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause. But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.

And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

God Is Powerful - Prayer Power

God Is Powerful

I have never thought I was powerful.

I have only thought that God is powerful.

God sometimes chooses to do powerful things

through people.  People who trust Him.

People who believe in the power

of God. People who choose to follow 

His ways and obey Him. Praying people, loving people,

forgiving people, obedient people, humble people, giving people, honest people and

faithful people.  

  

The child may not have been powerful but

 a miracle happened because 

He gave his small lunch to Jesus.  

His little lunch fed thousands.

Prayer For The Deeply Discouraged

Father God, In the name of Jesus Christ we come before you asking you will bless each one here.  Heal the heart of those angry with themselves,  or angry with someone else. I pray for anyone here contemplating taking his or her own life. I pray they would understand that God wants them to believe in his forgiveness and trust him with whatever it is that is tormenting their soul.  I pray you will move upon their hearts right now Lord, Help them understand that you have a purpose for them.  The devil wants to defeat that purpose, but you want them to defeat wrong thinking in the power of your might.  Help them to believe in your love and forgiveness, help them understand.  To leave this world lost is to leave lost forever.  Not in a better place but a more horrible place that has no end.  Please Lord, speak to their hearts right now.  Amen

 I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears.  Mine eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all mine enemies.

Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the LORD hath heard the voice of my weeping.

 The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer.

 Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them return and be ashamed suddenly.

Psalms 55:1- 23
 Give ear to my prayer, O God; and hide not thyself from my supplication. 
  Attend unto me, and hear me: I mourn in my complaint, and make a noise;
 Because of the voice of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked: for they cast iniquity upon me, and in wrath they hate me.
My heart is sore pained within me: and the terrors of death are fallen upon me.
 Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me. Heb. covered} And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest.
 Lo, then would I wander far off, and remain in the wilderness. Selah.
I would hasten my escape from the windy storm and tempest.
Destroy, O Lord, and divide their tongues: for I have seen violence and strife in the city.
 Day and night they go about it upon the walls thereof: mischief also and sorrow are in the midst of it.

 But it was thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance.  We took sweet counsel together, and walked unto the house of God in company.  Let death seize upon them, and let them go down quick into hell: for wickedness is in their dwellings, and among them.  As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me.
 Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.
 He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many with me.
 God shall hear, and afflict them, even he that abideth of old. Selah. Because they have no changes, therefore they fear not God.
 He hath put forth his hands against such as be at peace with him: he hath broken his covenant.  The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords.
 Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.  But thou, O God, shalt bring them down into the pit of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in thee.
