Psalms 40:1-10

 I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.  He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.  And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.

 Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.

 Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.  Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required.  Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,

 I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.  I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O LORD, thou knowest.

 I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation: I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great congregation.

Prayer For The Deeply Discouraged

Father God, In the name of Jesus Christ we come before you asking you will bless each one here.  Heal the heart of those angry with themselves,  or angry with someone else. I pray for anyone here contemplating taking his or her own life. I pray they would understand that God wants them to believe in his forgiveness and trust him with whatever it is that is tormenting their soul.  I pray you will move upon their hearts right now Lord, Help them understand that you have a purpose for them.  The devil wants to defeat that purpose, but you want them to defeat wrong thinking in the power of your might.  Help them to believe in your love and forgiveness, help them understand.  To leave this world lost is to leave lost forever.  Not in a better place but a more horrible place that has no end.  Please Lord, speak to their hearts right now.  Amen

Romans 8:1-9 

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:  That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.  So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
